Financial Summary: 2007 Board inherited asset position of about $50,000. Last three year’s average annual income was about $5,000. Total receipts per season, of which there are Fall, Winter, Spring, are about $12,000. Because LARC takes in more than $25,000 per year, we are required to file taxes.
There are large one-time expenditures in some sports periodically, and there is need to keep a minimum cash reserve balance. The board has not yet set the minimum. Because LARC has a currently favorable savings level, Board Members and Coordinators try to price programs AT COST. We are grateful to the volunteer organizers and coaches, and give those individuals (about at least ten hours of service in season) free play for registered or coached children.
Future capital expenditures may include: batting cage, continual upgrade and if-needed expansion of soccer and basketball equipment.
Board has discussed spending money on a basic volunteer recognition reception in late Fall.
In general, the LARC Board meets monthly, September through June. Call a Board Member or the Park Director for the next scheduled meeting time at the Lynnhurst Community Center. |
